The London Hairdressing Academy
Entry Requirements: Learners must hold an accredited Level 2 NVQ certification in Hairdressing before the course start date. Learners without prior hairdressing experience will not be accepted without a recognised Level 2 hairdressing qualification.
Course OVerview
Classes run 1 day per week in person at The LHA, with no more than 10 learners per class. Our Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing is designed for hard working dedicated learners looking to further their current skills in cutting, colour, styling and management knowledge.
This course consists of the following elements in order to achieve your Diploma:
– Knowledge checkers (in class)
– Photo homework (at home, submitted online)
– A large number of practical assessments (in class)
The course is divided into 9 Modules covering all of the units needed to provide you with a fast track to hairdressing success. You shall receive guidance and be mentored by your tutor during your work sessions; theory and practical assessments.
Tutors will assess your progress at regular intervals along with a personal appraisal at the end of each stage to ensure you are achieving your set learning goals required by The LHA.

Duration: 18 weeks Intensive programme (not including study weeks)

(Please note, the 1 day a week assigned will remain as your fixed class day)
Attendance: 100% attendance is compulsory on this programme.
Teaching hours: 9:30 am to 7:30 pm.

Private Tuition Fee – £5,350
All learners are able to enrol onto our level 3 courses paying privately. Please note: we are unable to provide advanced learner loans or payment plans, spaces are given on a first come first serve basis.
(Tuition fee’s does not cover learner kits)

Note: Students must be at least 18 years of age to apply for this course. This course is in-house certificated by The London Hairdressing academy giving learners all the theory and practical skills required, this does not result in an NVQ Qualification.
All Payments are to be made in full before the course start date by the deadline set by the enrolment department.
Course Modules
1. Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques
2. Colour hair using a variety of techniques
3. Provide colour correction services
4. Creatively style and dress hair
5. Creatively dress long hair
6. Promote additional services or products to customers
7. Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
8. Provide hairdressing consultation services
9. Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities
(Note: For your qualification, you will be formally assessed throughout your course and your knowledge will be tested throughout by knowledge checkers, practical assessments & oral questioning).
