Entry Requirements: Learners must hold a Level 2 NVQ certification in Hairdressing before the course start date. Learners with prior hairdressing experience will not be accepted without a UK valid NVQ Level 2 diploma.

Course OVerview

The Level 3 NVQ in Hairdressing is designed for learners looking to further their current skills in cutting, colour, styling and management knowledge.

This course consists of the following elements in order to achieve your Diploma:
– 5 Exams (in class)
– 10 Assignments 
– A large number of practical assessments on models (in class)

The course is divided into 9 Modules covering all of the units needed to provide you with a fast track to hairdressing success. You shall receive guidance and be mentored by your tutor during your work sessions; theory and practical assignments.

Tutors will assess your progress at regular intervals along with a personal appraisal at the end of each stage to ensure you are achieving your set learning goals required by The LHA.

Duration: 18 weeks Intensive programme (not including study weeks)     
Where: The LHA 85 Stanmore Hill, Stanmore HA7 3DZ  
Next Term:
Starting March 2024 (Please note, the 1 day a week assigned will remain as your fixed class day) 
Attendance: 100% attendance is compulsory on this programme.
Teaching hours: 9:30 am to 7:30 pm.

Private Tuition Fee – £3,350

We offer competitive course tuition fee’s, all learners are able to enrol onto our level 3 courses paying privately for their course tuition.
(£3,350 Tuition fee does not cover your registration fee and kits)

Registration Fee – £150

Private students are required to pay a registration fee before the course start date, registration fees also include fee’s for covid-19 award, portfolio and programme log books.

All Payments are to be made in full before the course start date by the deadline set by the enrolment department.

1. Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques
2. Colour hair using a variety of techniques
3. Provide colour correction services
4. Creatively style and dress hair
5. Creatively dress long hair
6. Promote additional services or products to customers
7. Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
8. Provide hairdressing consultation services
9. Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities

(Note: For your NVQ qualification, you will be formally assessed throughout your course and your knowledge will be tested throughout by exams, practical, oral questioning and assignments).

    Should learners not be able to complete practical homework on models additional blocks may need to be purchased.

Enrichment

Students will benefit from a variety of enrichment including in-class visits from top brands, days out to events such as salon international and in-class master classes.

We also arrange an annual 3-day trip to Wella Paris workshops for our learners to experience the differences between the hairdressing industry in the UK & Paris.

Kit

All learners for Level 2 and Level 3 courses are required to purchase their kit that they will bring to every class.

Kits will be used in class, at home for practising set homework & after graduating when working on clients. 

Students are required to purchase their own kit before the course start date, The LHA will send a full kit list with links to all candidates.
